Designia is now Mr. Upside. Same company, better service, better brand. Long story short: the concept behind 13-year-old Designia was based on the services provided. Mr. Upside is more based on the authentic core. On the creative person behind the brand.
Website (UX/UI) Design, illustration and the design of a logo / corporate identity will be infinitely better if you start with a solid strategy. I already knew that and often put it into practice too. But I knew I was capable of more. A more strategic approach provides better solutions. More satisfied customers. It ensures that the investment in design yields money instead of costs. I want to help more companies with a better substantiated design.
That required a different brand. One brand. Not four.
By being a Full Stack Designer, I am able to provide my clients the whole spectrum of creative services. From design consultancy to the technical development of a website.
Shutting down portfolio’s
In the next few weeks I’ll be shutting down the Designia.nl, MrUpside.com webshop, MrUpside.nl illustration portfolio and my webshop/portfolio with art, MichielNagtegaal.com.
Mr. Upside distinguishes itself by being a Freelance Designer starting every project from branding, from a strategic starting point. The result is much more valuable when the execution of design projects is based on a strong vision.
It is not difficult to find a Freelance Designer who can make beautiful pictures. Brand Strategists are also not hard to find. But the combination is a bit more rare.
At the time of writing this blog post, Designia was founded 13 years ago. The goal was not much different from today, bringing together multiple creative disciplines. The concept behind the brand was based on a virtual world (Designia). A world in which the countries, the Nations, represent my various creative disciplines. That is why my illustration portfolio became Illustration Nation.
Illustration Nation became Mr. Upside. And in addition to a portfolio with illustrations, also a webshop with limited edition prints on luxury paper. The usually cheerful appearance of my illustrations was the reason for the name Mr. Upside.
I currently have room for new assignments.
So if you are thinking of a new website, logo or corporate identity, feel free to contact me anytime. I’d love to discuss how better design can lead to more revenue. Feel free to call or email. Or would you like to have a coffee?
