With ‘Dit is mijn dag’ (translated as: ‘This is my day’ an online platform and community around Unilever food brands took shape. That did not happen entirely naturally. Advertising agency Suntzu from Rotterdam (now part of the international advertising group Emakina) asked me to design websites for some of their customers, including Unilever brands Knorr and Bertolli, but also Calvé, Canon, Hago and Ola.
Brand Identity Design
One of those projects included not only the UX Design of a website but also the design of the house style and the logo / logo in particular. “This is my day” was intended as a Dutch / Belgian online platform. Unilever could, by creating and managing a predominantly female community, bring its food brands to the attention.
Particular challenges in this project were the cultural differences between the Dutch and French-speaking target groups and the large number of words in the logo. Much time has been spent on typography and the mutual relationships between the words.

“This is my day” / “Mon jour a moi” was renamed later on and rebranded to “Yunomi.” The shape of the logo, (the ‘flower’ or ‘butterfly’), the colors and the typography were kept the same.
