Robeco is a Dutch top asset manager with over 85 years of experience in fund investing, with clients ranging from individuals and companies to institutional investors, such as pension funds. From June 2016 to July 2019 I worked there as a Freelance UX & UI Designer. I provided UX/UI Design, Art Direction, communication advice and some illustrations.

Freelance UX Design
As a Freelance UX designer I was part of a small, but dedicated team that is responsible for the online marketing and optimisation of the websites Robeco.nl and Robeco.com. The assignment was part-time.

Improvement of User Flows
I was asked to improve the design of more complex User Flows (customer journeys), individual web pages and various small and large page parts. I assessed the existing design and discussed the identified bottlenecks with the team. A suitable solution was devised, which was then designed by me. For example, I assessed the existing design of the News page, mobile app, Deposit Flow, E-mail templates for the newsletter, the Fund Selector and a large number of Online Marketing pages.

Small, dedicated team
The team I was part of consisted of online marketers, an external copywriter, Interaction Designer and worked closely with Content Managers and Front-end and Back-end developers. The cooperation was very pleasant. A lot of freedom was offered and my experience and expertise as a Designer was respected. I was also able to clearly make a difference with the proposed improvements.

Flexible use
My commitment was based on an on-demand basis. With one fixed day a week at the office in the center of Rotterdam. A flexible solution that worked well for both parties.
